    ParentSquare Help Center home page

    ParentSquare is a communication and organization tool designed to keep you informed and involved in your students school.  Here are some of the features that ParentSquare provides:

    • Receive all school, classroom and group communication via email, text, or app notification
    • View important calendar events
    • Receive photos, links and attachments
    • Send private messages to staff
    • Appreciate those who post messages

     

    Activate Your Account

    When you register your child with Central A & M, please provide an accurate telephone number or email address for our records and the school will initiate the setup process with you.  You will receive an invitation email and/or text with a link to activate your ParentSquare account.

    Download the App from either:

    iOS App- Apple Store

    Android App - Google Play Store

    ParentSquare makes it easy to register for ParentSquare from the app.  Follow the steps:

    1. Open the ParentSquare App.
    2. Enter your email or cell phone number.
    3. Tap Continue.
    4. Create your password and confirm your password.
    5. Enter your registration code sent by Email or Text and tap Verify.

    NOTE:  If your registration link has expired, a new one will need to be sent to you.  Please contact the District Office 217-226-4042 and ask for a new link to be sent to you.

    We are excited to be launching a new partnership with Cartwheel for the remainder of the '24-25 school year and into the next school year. Cartwheel is the trusted mental health partner to schools, providing rapid access to care for students, including therapy and medication evaluation and management. An astounding 92% of students report they feel better after working with Cartwheel. 
     
    This partnership also includes access to parent guidance, and family therapy, all virtually and with no waitlists. Their licensed therapists and child psychiatrists are diverse and committed to affordable care for everyone--including uninsured families and those covered by Medicaid. 

    If your child may benefit from care with Cartwheel, please use your school's established channels for communicating with your counseling team, and your counselors will take the appropriate next steps. 
     
    Cartwheel also offers free webinars for caregivers and school staff focused on providing practical and actionable information on mental health topics affecting youth and families today. You can find the full schedule here.

    SCHOOL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

    Illinois State Law requires that every child entering Pre-School, Kindergarten, Second, Sixth, Ninth and Twelfth grades have the following completed documents on file with the school.  These forms can be turned in at the start of the school year.  These are due by the first day of school, otherwise your student may be excluded from school.

     

    Kindergarten:    

    Eye Exam (or waiver)
    Dental Exam (or waiver)
    School Physical Exam

    Lead Screen
    Current Immunization record (Including 4 Dtap, 4 Polio, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella vaccine.)


    2nd Grade:  

    Dental Exam (or waiver)

     

    6th Grade: 
    Dental Exam (or waiver)
    School Physical Exam

    Current Immunization records (including 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine, 1 Tdap)


    9th Grade:

    Dental Exam (or waiver)
    School Physical Exam 
    Current immunization record

     

    12th Grade: 

    Current immunization record (Including 2 doses of Meningococcal vaccine.  Only one dose is required if the first dose was received at 16 yrs. 
    of age or older.)

     

    STUDENT ATHLETESMiddle School and High School Sports
    Sports Physical Exam -required before allowed to practice or participate.


    FIRST TIME in an ILLINOIS SCHOOL:
    Eye Exam (or waiver)
    School Physical Exam with current vaccination records.

    National School Lunch Program AND Fee Waiver

    IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION IF YOUR STUDENT/S RECEIVE FOOD BENEFITS WHICH WE RECEIVE NOTIFICATION THROUGH THE DIRECT CERTIFICATION LISTING FROM THE ILLINOIS STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION.  THOSE INCLUDED ARE SNAP, TANF, INCOME ELIGIBLE MEDICAID OR FOSTER CHILD STATUS.  THESE STUDENTS WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY APPROVED FOR FREE BREAKFAST AND LUNCH.  THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE EXTRA MEAL ITEMS, SNACKS OR DRINKS.

     

    The approval process for a fee waiver is based on whether the student receives Free lunch.  If your student is approved for Free lunch you MUST complete the Fee waiver for processing in the District office for the applicable fees to be waived.  A Fee Waiver needs to be completed every school year.

    Consideration of other factors may be taken into account by the building principal when determining approval.
